Campbeltown and Macrihanish Railway
proposed coal hopper wagon
Dave has been making a Campbeltown and Macrihanish Railway proposed coal hopper wagon. They were designed in 1902 for the Campbeltown Coal Co, but were never built. The photographs, below, show how the coal hopper would be lifted off to be swung by crane over a ship's hold and the bottom doors opened remotely to unload the coal.
