Location : Abergele

Your Hosts are : John and Lynda Brodie


Brodie's Folly is a 45mm gauge line with continuous running and shunting facilities and is a ground level line. There is no track power on this line.

Light refreshments and a buffet will be available and, Members are invited to bring along complimentary food to share at this event.

Visiting locomotives and rolling stock belonging to Members of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers are welcome.

Railway : The Abercanyon Railroad


     Time : 12:00 noon onwards

Location : Llanfairfechan

Your Hosts are : Mike and Cecilia Lilley


The Abercanyon Railroad is a 45mm gauge line with continuous running and shunting facilities and is raised above ground level by approximately 1200mm. It has a minimum track radius of 4 ft. but with LGB radius 5 curves on the main line. The loading gauge clearances are 150 mm width and 350 mm height. There is track power on part of this line, but this will not be in operation when Mike and Cecilia hold events for our Group.

Light refreshments and a buffet will be available and visiting Members are invited to bring along complimentary food to share.

Visiting locomotives and rolling stock belonging to Members of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers are welcome.

Railway : The Lazy Days Railway


     Time : 12:00 noon onwards

Location : Abergele

Your Hosts are : Phil and Sue Vose


The Lazy Days Railway is a 45mm gauge line with continuous running and shunting facilities and is raised above ground level by approximately 400mm for about half of its length and is at ground level over the rest of the line. There is no track power in use on this line.

Light refreshments and a buffet will be available and, Members are invited to bring along complimentary food to share at this event.

Visiting locomotives and rolling stock belonging to Members of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers are welcome.

Railway : The Consolidated Shales Railways Historical Society

Location : North-West Anglesey

Following ‘negotiations’ with the ‘mining company’, and, after the completion of the company’s ore-haulage for the day, the CONSOLIDATED SHALES RAILWAYS HISTORICAL SOCIETY is pleased to invite visiting locos and rolling stock belonging to members of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers to run on the 45mm Gauge CONSOLIDATED SHALES HEAVY-HAUL RAILWAY.

Light Refreshments and a Buffet will be available. Any voluntary donations received will be forwarded immediately to the YNYS MON and GWYNEDD MIND charity.

Please also note that the line is in an exposed position, and does not operate during wet weather or if the local wind speeds are in excess of 40kph (25 mph). The Consolidated Shales Heavy-Haul Railway is a 45mm gauge line with continuous running and shunting facilities and is raised above ground level by approximately 1000mm. It has a minimum track radius of 3 ft. and the loading gauge clearance is 150 mm height. There is no track power on this line. Overhead catenary wires are in place along a large part of the line but these are not powered - at the present time!!
