Email List
Being a member of the North West Wales Area Group of the Association of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers means you are on our mailing list. There is no charge for being a Member of the North West Wales Area Group.
We will use your email address to forward to you emails from Group members and any that are generated or received in connection with the activities of the Group.
We will only do this with your consent: you will need to provide your email address (or postal address for those members who are not on email) to our Group Coordinator at nwwales16mmgroup@yahoo.co.uk confirming your agreement for your data to be processed as outlined here. You may withdraw your consent at anytime by contacting us in the same way.
We will store your email address but we will not share it with other parties without your agreement. When we send emails to all members of the Group we will send these using blind copy for members' email addresses. We will store emails that are sent to the Group.
Who we share your data with
Your data will not be shared with any other parties without your consent. If you wish to advertise a garden event at your railway on our website then we will include your contact details in the form that you request. This is to enable members and others wishing to visit your event to contact you beforehand. Your request to advertise an event at your railway on our website is taken to include your consent to the inclusion of your contact details. Please remember that the Group's website is in the public domain.
How long we retain your data
If you join our mailing list we will retain your email address until you notify us you no longer wish to be a Member of the Group or receive Group emails, at which time your data will be erased.
What rights you have over your data
If you are a member of this Group, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data that we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data that we hold about you. To do so please contact the Group Coordinator.
Your data that is held on behalf of the Group is saved on an Excel Spreadsheet. The data items held are restricted to what is "adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed”.
The fields of information held in the spreadsheet currently are:

location - i.e. town or village
email address
Note: Full information for all of these fields is not required to held for all members but names and email addresses (or postal address for those members who are not on email) and/or a contact telephone No. are required in order to manage the Group activity.
For those members who have a garden line the following additional fields are held:
track title (name of railway)
gauge
description - i.e. whether continuous, end to end, etc
height above ground - i.e. whether ground level or raised
minimum radius
loading gauge - height and width limits
maximum gradient
postal address
Note: Full information for all of these fields is not required but these are useful pieces of information to help visiting Members who wish to run trains at our events. Members may provide such information if they wish to.
Note: Some Members have specifically requested that certain information, for example their telephone number, is not published on our website and this is recorded as such on the spreadsheet. Members' addresses are NOT published, but occasionally it is useful to know where our garden lines are situated!
